STORY: School district sued over paddling
The guardian of a 6-yr old kindergartener has filed a $500,000 law suit against the Mississippi school for allegedly repeatedly paddling the girl. It's great to see some people taking this to the courts, as we covered this issue before -- the truth is this is a basic human rights issue, folks who support this are supporting the violation of someones basic human rights. Experts agree corporal punishment has only negative effects on kids, so why do we continue to think it is ok to hurt children?
