Guns must be so readily available in some households that a youngster doesn't even have to try hard to get one to class. Everybody made a fuss years ago when they began making toy guns out of various colors (to indicate that they are fake), but when you hear stories like this it reminds us that maybe it wasn't such a bad idea. Unless we are at a time when it's normal to bring a pistol along with your lunchbox every day.
