There seems to be a shortage of intelligence at Albert Einstein High School in Montgomery County, Maryland. An anti-GLBT group, Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (PFOX) was permitted to send home literature with students conveying that there was something wrong with you if you are not heterosexual...that you shouldn't be convinced you are gay if "only one part of you tells you so." PFOX didn't explicitly identify which part that might be...leaving open one's imagination. What we can't imagine is a school sending this crap home with students.

One student said 51-year-old teacher Sergeant Charles Ray Moore was very professional and treated the girls respectfully, but this story says otherwise...

Moore was arrested and charged with sexual child abuse after having sex in the classroom with one of his students, who happened to be a minor. The 17-year-old girl confessed to her mother what they did together and the mother told police everything.

What was the school thinking? Keeping deadly weapons readily available for anyone who picks a fight. One minute you're cutting geometry shapes, the next minute you have a pair of scissors lodged in your neck. We really need to rethink what kind of craft projects we're assigning these students.

It doesn't seem like a simple mistake that this kid had a glock and a 9mm in his backpack. And his dad must have been asleep at the wheel when he let his kindergarten kid get out of the house with these two loaded weapons. Whatever happens to kids just pretending they were making guns with their hands and pointer-fingers.

From the article..."The teacher called, and I thought she said 'pneumonia.' Then a neighbor called and said 'a-mmonia." Apparantly if there are pneumonia outbreaks, we let the students tough it out. But when ammonia is mentioned, more than half of the parents rushed to remove their kids from school. And the spill happened that day before, about a mile away. Anything to miss a day of work I guess.
