School Fire One Day Before School Started

Seems like someone didn't want to go back to school! Just one day before classes started at an Indiana elementary school, the playground set was destroyed by a fire. The fire started around 2:30am and was set with the aid of old books.

Firefighters Rescue Passengers From Hollywood Ferris Wheel

They say "Welcome to Hollywood"... but this time, they're saying "Please rescue me from Hollywood!" From Hollywood High School's broken Ferris wheel anyway, where at least 10 passengers sat stranded on the broken ride. Firefighters rescued all the ride goers. using a 100 foot aerial ladder as a crane to lower the riders to the ground. No injuries were reported.

You would think at a Science and Technology school, they would have plenty of labs to test out experiments. Fans of the game Contra argue he should have used "spread."

Story: Two arrested in igniting student's hair

The mother of the victim, who is understandably not happy with the situation, is more concerned that the principal did not contact her until five days after the incident. Now, there are two sides to every story, but if I ever went home from school ablaze, I would hope swift action be taken. We will wait and see what they ban first- lighters or long hair.

7 School Buses Set On Fire In Coatesville

Hey, at least there were no students on them at the time. Plus, it will give the kids something to cheer for when they see their old bus compete at the monster truck derby this year.

"Officials say it seems a squirrel started the fire." Maybe they should stop letting Boris Badenov investigate the crime scenes.

Thanks to their little late night pyro show, these girls can now stop, drop, and roll all the way to twenty years in prison. All to probably get out of a math test.

I guess there's no messing around anymore. He was taken to a Juvenile Detention Center for charges of "resisting arrest, vandalism over $500, disrupting a meeting or public assembly, disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment and making a false report (false alarm)." Sounds like he would have been better off actually starting a fire.

Story: Boy, 12, Arrested In Elementary School Arson

Hey buddy, I'm thinking there's better ways to get revenge on your teachers. The irony is he most likely lit the school on fire in hopes that he wouldn't have to go back there in the Fall, but now he'll probably end up in some Juvenile Center. But is that worse?

Teens suspected of torching school toilets

Story: San Jose teens suspected of torching school toilets

You can tell when a student really misses attending classes when they go back and visit within days of school being out. It was probably just an extra-credit science experiment gone wrong. These kids are such over-achievers. Talk about getting a head start on your studies.

We were able to tap into is train of thought right before he did this: "It's perfectly ok to set people's clothes on fire during school. There should be no reason I get into trouble for this. In fact, I'll most likely be a hit! Even the innocent boy whose safety, religion, and beliefs that I am defacing, will probably get a good laugh out of this."

Students and teacher burned in chemical fire

Story: Students and teacher burned in chemical fire

It sounds like a crazy scientist was haphazardly mixing mysterious liquids he found in a parking lot and was playing with them in a welding class. I don't see any potential for danger, but I'm sure the students with second degree burns on their faces disagree. I heard he also challenged the class to keep their hands on a hot stove...just to see what would happen!

Student Expelled for Setting Teacher's Hair on Fire

I guess the days of spit-balls are numbered. It used to be, when your teacher turned their back, you pass notes. Now you are in danger of having your head set ablaze. Hopefully the teacher needed a new hair-do anyways.
