DetentionSlip.org would like to congratulate Dr. Kenneth Adams of Edinboro University on 35 years in Public Education. Dr. Adams has been a high school biology teacher, university proffessor, and most recently, Dean of the School of Education at Edinboro University of PA. This past Sunday was his last commencement before his July retirement, where he was leid about 200 times by the graduates of the school of education.
He is also the father of DetentionSlip.org co-founder Anthony David Adams.
"My father has been the single greatest influence on my ideas about social justice, public education and activism. He has always been a voice for change throughout his career, and has made a life long commitment to making the world a better place through education. Congrats Dad!"
School districts ban donkey basketball under pressure from PETA

Now we can't even sit on top of donkeys and force them to play basketball without PETA getting fired up. Who would have thought this age-old tradition would draw some controversy? Our fore-fathers built this country with the help of back-breaking animal labor. I thought our way of thanking these donkeys was by giving them some recreation and leisure time.

When Marilyn Manson was asked what he would have said to the Columbine killers, he responded, "I wouldn't say a single word to them, I would listen to what they have to say and that's what no one did." High schools are filled with a lot of ears and teens often tend to give away some warning signs. For whatever reason, rates of teenage depression have been sky-rocketing over the last decade or so. I guess my question to high schools is- What are you doing to prevent this?

I happen to be aware of the fact that you are not allowed to fondle 15-year old students in school. I also know that you can't bring guns and knives to school. This teacher must have missed both those memos. If you were wondering why he thinks he can get away with actions like this, just last week his principal was arrested for dowloading students' cell phone sex videos on his computer without alerting proper officials. Sounds like a train wreck in Memphis- the same city that firmly believes in the effectiveness of paddling students.

After rumors surfaced that two girls used the bathroom for kissing instead of urinating, the assistant principal allegedly alerted teachers to not send homosexual students to the restroom together anymore. When the male students at the school caught wind of this, they immediately began drilling small peeping holes through the wall. So until this mess gets cleared, gay and lesbian students will have to deal with their bladder problems at home.

Drunken driving arrest for Mass. high school prom limo driver

A school in Rhode Island had to ban limos to prevent drunk driving on prom night. I guess we now have to factor in the limo driver getting boozed as well. Students became suspicious when the he kept trying to talk them in to swinging by the Taco Bell drive-thru on the way home. Maybe next year we'll just let mom and dad drive.
